An apartment with its own courtyard: a perforated screen wall, a timber pergola and planting tight against the glass. The courtyard was photographed three times — hard sun, dusk and dark — because the screen only becomes a pattern once the light is behind it.

Inside, marble and walnut lit almost entirely by cove light, which sets a narrow window in the evening. The closing frames are the small ones: a desk, a window, a stone table.
